March 11, 2015 - Record Number of Employers Look to Hire Graduates of UTI-Dallas/Fort Worth

More than 50 employers participated in a job fair held at the UTI-Dallas/Fort Worth campus on February 19th - 20th.  This record number of employers, ranging from car dealerships to trucking companies, was there to interview current students and recent graduates of UTI.

John Norlington, of the Sewell Automotive Company, who regularly participates in the UTI job fairs says,  “We have a long relationship with UTI and know that their job fair is a great place to find good employees.”

Today’s transportation service technicians are experts in the complex and innovative digital systems that keep modern vehicles running, and technicians with high-tech, hands-on training are in demand. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the industry will have an average of more than 37,000 job openings for skilled technicians every year. These jobs pay well, can’t be outsourced or off-shored and offer plenty of opportunities to move up.

UTI’s programs provide excellent value and return on students’ investment, and give students high-tech, industry-specific training. The company has training partnerships with manufacturers of more than 30 of the nation’s best leading transportation brands. These partners guide UTI’s training programs, invest in facilities and give students the chance to work with the most current technology and tools. As a result, students leave UTI with the knowledge and skills that employers want.

“We are big fans of UTI,” says Craig Kendall, a recruiting manager from The Pete Store, a truck dealer for Peterbilt. “The students we hire are generally very good and professional.”

UTI-Dallas/Fort Worth holds job fairs several times a year with great success and turnout from both employers and students.  The February job fair attracted the largest number of employers to date.
