March 7, 2014 - UTI Lisle Hosts Monster Jam Open House

On February 6, Universal Technical Institute hosted a Monster Jam Open House at their Lisle campus for students, guests and the community. The event featured Metal Mulisha, a 1,500 horsepower Monster Jam truck weighing in at 10,000 pounds, standing 12 feet tall and costing more than $250,000. Over 250 guests had the opportunity to have their photo taken with the truck and meet the crew.

Students from four high schools and one middle school participated in the event, helping to make the open house the campus’s most successful Monster Jam event to date.

“It was thrilling to welcome the Monster Jam crew and host such an exciting event for the community,” said Mike Vivona, marketing manager for UTI-Lisle. “Having the local high school and middle school students in attendance made it extra special because we were able to invite them on campus and encourage their interest in automotive, diesel and industrial education.”

In addition to seeing a Monster Jam truck up close and personal, several contests and prizes were held. The winners at the Cookie Face Competition, Bubble Race Competition and Spark Plug Challenge walked away with a special prize. They were awarded tickets to the Monster Jam show on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Allstate Arena, along with pit passes to meet the crew before the show.
