October 20, 2014 - UTI-Lisle Receives Top Honors from Accrediting Commission

What do Universal Technical Institute’s Lisle campus, local marketing manager and recent graduate all have in common? They all received prestigious recognition from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) at the Commission’s 2014 award ceremony in September.

Each year, the Commission formally recognizes the success and significant achievements of ACCSC-accredited institutions, and pays tribute to several outstanding individuals. UTI-Lisle received three awards this year.

Stojan Ozegovic, a recent graduate from UTI’s Illinois campus, was named First Runner-Up for the 2014 Graduate of the Year Award. Mike Vivona, local marketing manager for UTI-Lisle, was named First Runner-Up for the 2014 Commitment to Education Award. Lastly, the UTI-Lisle campus was named one of the 2014 School of Excellence Award winners.

“It is always rewarding to see former students like Stojan recognized for his commitment to his profession.  We would like to congratulate him on this achievement and for setting an example for other aspiring technicians. We are also so proud to have members of our dedicated staff like Mike recognized for their passion and commitment to UTI and our students,” said Julie Mueller, campus president of UTI-Lisle.

“I also want to thank all of the members of our campus for helping us achieve the School of Excellence Award,” continued Mueller. “This honor belongs to our dedicated staff who show up every day focused on UTI’s mission to change the world one life at a time. It was a privilege to accept this award on behalf of our campus.”

The ACCSC Award Ceremony was hosted during the annual Professional Development Conference (PDC). Julie Mueller and Mike Vivona attended the 2014 ceremony in Denver to accept all three awards on behalf of UTI-Lisle.
