Community Outreach:

At Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI), our purpose is to change the world one life at a time by helping people achieve success beyond their dreams. One of the ways we accomplish this is through partnering with organizations and initiatives that unleash the highest human potential in others.

For 46 years, we’ve instilled the value of community through service to others. The UTI spirit has evolved into living examples of how paying it forward can enrich the lives of our students, employees, and the communities in which we live and work.

Key 2010 Community Contributions:

From walking hundreds of miles to championing health issues, to donating blood to collecting food , UTI students and staff strengthen campus communities in many ways. Some of our recent community service projects include:

  • NASCAR Tech students exceeded 10,000 volunteer hours with local charities
  • MMI-Phoenix raised $3,500 during the Annual Toy Run for the Crisis Nursery
  • UTI-Phoenix students and staff donated 4,1000 units to United Blood Services and is the largest contributor in the state of Arizona
  • Partnering with local car clubs, UTI-Glendale Heights collected 16,000 pounds of food for the Northern Illinois Food Bank
  • UTI sponsored $100,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix “Today’s Kids, Tomorrow’s Stars” event

UTI Foundation:

The mission of the UTI Foundation is to enable individuals to complete technical training, leading to career success. This will be achieved by providing public service education programs, scholarships and grants, lifelong learning, and through the creation of a nationwide alumni support network.

Last year, UTI employees raised $180,000 for the UTI Foundation.
